There are several spaces in front of the home as well as a gravel roundabout. Make sure that you don't park your car as too close to the fire pit though, as  hot ashes have been known to damage paint jobs. 

Deposit is collected within 24 hours of booking, or the dates will be reopened for other guests to book. 

Infants (babies that cannot crawl or walk) are welcome, and we do provide a pack and play, however, we do not have pack and play blankets or sheets, so you must provide your own bedding. If you use the pack and play, please wipe it down with a sanitizing solution or spray before and after. Use, and if it cannot be cleaned adequately before you check out, please leave it out and let me know so that our cleaners can help. Please do not place loose diapers in our outside trash. It needs to be emptied after every stay, and diapers should always be put in the main trash bags with other waste. 

Guests will access the home with a digital keypad. Your code will be set to the last four digits of the booking individual's phone number unless otherwise requested at least 48 hours in advance. 

Check in and check out. times are flexible, depending on the schedule of our cleaning crew and the availability of the property. We are happy to discuss late checkouts or even booking additional half days to make your long weekend a little bit longer. 

We live in Louisville, so the likelihood that you'll see us is slim unless something necessitates a visit from us. However, there is a good chance you might run into one of the neighbors or part of our cleaning or maintenance staff. Occasionally some maintenance is weather dependent or based on the availability of maintenance personnel, and while we try to give everyone a heads up, occasionally they just have to come when they're they're able, And we may have very little notice.  They will do their best to stay out of your way and get the job done as quickly as possible. 

As this is a cabin home, our kitchen is smaller but well equipped. It has a smaller Holiday four burner stove and oven, along with a full size refrigerator, microwave, dual pot and K-Cup coffee maker, as well as all kinds of dishes, cooking amenities and utensils. We have tried to stock the kitchen very well, and hope you'll have everything you need. There is no dishwasher however, so if you don't love the idea of washing dishes, please feel free to bring your own disposable items. 

Located just up the hill from Hardin's Landing in Cub Run, this woodsy hilltop home is a unique stay

Infants and *one* child under the age of 5 may exceed our eight-person max occupancy, but this house is relatively small, so please keep that in mind when bringing along extra little ones.  There is one toddler mattress and one pack and play provided. Also, this house is not childproofed, and there are stairs with an awkward opening at the top that **cannot be secured for the safety**.

The expansive outdoor area includes several sitting areas, a patio off the living room, and a large  and charming fire pit at the point of the hill past the gravel roundabout. 

There are both a carbon monoxide and fire alarm located in the property for the safety of our guests. Disabling these items will result in your reservation being immediately terminated without refund. The same goes for our outdoor security camera. It is there to maintain the safety of our guests and our property, and removal, covering, or tampering with it in any way is strictly forbidden.

The fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink. 

A fire bucket is located directly outside of the main entry door. This is a plastic bucket we used to fill with water to extinguish the fire pit. 

Small children are allowed, however, we generally discourage guests from bringing toddlers and preschool aged children because this property is not and *cannot* be childproofed. There is an awkward opening at the top of the stairs that cannot be secured by a gate, and due to the nature of the storage aspect of the home, cleaning products and other items are readily accessible to and could harm those with curious little hands. Also, our digital locking system cannot be secured manually from the inside. This means that while access is restricted to those outside, any person who wishes to exit may do so at any time by simply turning the handle. 

Between piles of firewood, the fire pit, the hilltop and the general terrain, the outside area is also not toddler/or preschool age friendly. It is your prerogative as to whether or not you want to take these risks, and we do not prohibit small children, but we cannot be responsible for any injuries they may incur etc. 

At this time we can only allow up to two pets with a total combined weight of up to 50 lb. Single pets have a weight limit of up to 40 lb. However, there is only one crate, and all pets must be crated or taken with the guests if they leave. If you plan to bring an additional pet, you will definitely need another crate. we ask our guests to please bring their own pet beds and blankets as well, in addition to anything they'll need to clean up after their pets, such as pet waste bags or sticky rollers. 

We do not allow events or parties. Our septic system is simply not designed for that type of usage, and excess vehicles and traffic on the hill is damaging to our gravel drive. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate termination of your reservation with no refund. 

You may smoke outdoors, but please smoke far away from the doors or windows. There is a sand bucket meant for cigarette disposal, but we ask that you please use the scoop to empty it out at the end of your stay. Place the used and fully extinguished butts **in a trash bag**, and not directly in the outside trash can. 

Sorry, the space is not accessible for guests with wheelchairs or limited mobility. 

I have hosted 8 different properties over the last seven years. I truly love my job, and I take a ton of pride in making my listings the most comfortable and welcoming they can possibly be.
